Just a few babies...some I found while junkin' and some are gifts from friends ~
Just click to enlarge them and the right click to save them to your own computer...

I'm a little under the weather right now,
hope to be better soon...
it's tummy troubles again, diverticulitis is awful.

Loving the texture...

I'm such a nut.
I admit it!
I had to run to Hobby Lobby and Michael's the other day
to pick up a few supplies and of course to spend my birthday gift card...

Well, I bought about 4 yards of muslin.
I love prewashing it before I use it
so I threw the long cut
of fabric right into the washer.
After it was finished, I pulled it out
and it had wrung itself into one long twisted piece!
No, I don't have one of those fancy front loading washers ~

ANYWAY,
I began to untwist it, but as I did,
I thought it was so beautiful!!!
I tossed it into the dryer and dried it that way...
If I need it straightened out I'll press it but
I've got to think of a way to use it this way too!!!

I'm restocked on lavender buds now too!!!
Now I can make a few more sachets with the beautiful graphics :)

Here's some sweet finds from Michael's...
See the paper in the back?
It's a Tim Holtz pad and it was on clearance for 7.99!!!

Those tiny boxes are small playing cards!
I thought they were cute and four boxes came in the package,
I've already given Noah one :)
The journal was five bucks and
I loved those aged metal eye screws for artwork.

And believe it or not, this tinsel trim was
in with all of their new spring stuff!!
I just had to get it...the roll alone was so beautiful
but I'm sure it will come in handy next Christmas.

Love these...they look so pretty on the sachets!

Love to use these on artwork...I've got to get busy and make something new!

Here are a few pics of the Tim Holtz papers ~

I recently made these angel wings for a special order...

And guess what???
The new issue of Mollie Makes is now available in the UK
with my little page featuring my studio!

My sweet friend Leigh, who writes for them, sent me a pic of the page in the mag...
it won't hit the newsstands here for a few more weeks or so.

Goodness, the studio looks like a wreck in these pics...
but they chose from large selection of photographs!

So....if you're new here from the magazine,
WELCOME!!!
I'm so very glad you dropped by and I hope you enjoy your visit!!!

Wishing you a beautiful Friday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

How blessed am I?

Blogging has been THE. most. wonderful. adventure!!!!
As I approach my 6 year blogiversary in early February,
I just can't believe how amazingly rewarding this journey has been!

The best and most wonderful reward??
The precious friends I've made here!!!
All. around. the. world!!
I'm so, so thankful for each and every one of you ~

I received a precious Christmas/Birthday package this week
and you know I have to share the goods with you!

Cindy of Lilly's Lace is such a sweetie....
she had been under the weather the first of the year but
thank goodness she's all well now.....
she gathered up some goodies,
mailed them to Georgia
and it all has just blown me away!!!

I was able to meet Cindy in person
at a class I taught last March in Texas and
we knew immediately
that we were kindreds!!
I just have to tell you something, I sure do love those Texas gals....
they are so, so precious and they are REAL!

ANYWAY...
look at all the loot my sweet friend Cindy sent me:

Wonderful old photos...

A great Miranda Lambert CD!
Yummy old lace...doilies...a cigar box filled with vanilla buttons too!

Yes, you see right...a Michael's gift certificate and some mascara ~
I LOVE me some Michael's and mascara too!!!

I'm sorry, but isn't this girl beautiful??? I really did love the CD too!

AMAZING, right????
She is such a precious soul....
Thank you so very much Cindy ~ I love it ALL SO MUCH!

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

And my sweet DIL Emily posted a few pics on Facebook of the babies
and I just have to share them with you!

Clara is working on her little fairy houses...
her mama loves fairies just like me too!

Murray is now FOUR months old and bouncing around in his Jumperoo!!!
How in the world did THAT happen???
My goodness, time is just a flyin' by!!!!

What a sweetie pie Murray is!!!
Just look at that face!
He's wearing a hat that my grandmother made for his daddy, Brent ~
and now it warms his precious head,
how wonderful is that???
My sweet grandma would be so, so proud to know this but
something in me know that she DOES know....

I will go ahead and tell you.
Clara is an artist.
She is almost three and colors in her coloring books like an eight year old.
She sees beauty in so many things....
And just look at what she made in her yard ~
and she even named him "Rocky"!

I hope you have the most wonderful Thursday....
and always, always see the beauty around you!

hugs and love,
Dawn

Finishing up a little project ~

I finally got back to finishing my very first iPad sleeve....
and this one fits the full sized iPad.
I even got to try it out!
My friend Debby brought hers over and it fit wonderfully,
and hers had this rubbery type of cover on it ~

It's lined with the soft polar fleece too....

With layers of wonderful old lace on the flap....

If you're interested, I've added it to my Etsy shop!

Wishing you a beautiful Wednesday precious friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

My sweet finds!!!

I didn't buy tons when I went junkin' this past Friday
but what I did find,
I LOVE!!!

I try to be very selective...it has to have a great price,
and of course be amazing ~
At this stage of the game,
I know what I love and know what I'll pay,
so junkin' has become simplified!

A precious framed print ~ a tiny child's umbrella ~
small drawers from some type of jewelry box that will be
perfect vessels for small assemblages....

The sweetest small child's camisole ~

An old brush that will probably
end up in my Etsy shop!

A full box of Clark Thread...black.
Don't you love the graphics on the box???

And this...
The most wonderful tiny weaving loom ~
there's already some on the loom in progress.
I want to use it!!!

A pair of perfectly aged children's shoes ~
I am such a freak for small shoes!

And I found a precious little bag of plastic sheep.
Why do I love sheep so???
They had to come home with me ~

The child's umbrella is perfect!
I'll have to share a pic with you of it opened ~
it has a beautiful scalloped edge!
I've just got to display it in the studio.

I just love this ironstone coffee mug too ~

Another photo of the small drawers...

One little butter pat.
Sweet, old and with a teeny, tiny beaded edge!

I found a few old hats that I LOVED their millinery ~
they are tattered, old and moth-eaten but the flowers are beautiful.

Plus a couple of very old school books...
I took a few photos of the pages inside ~

I'm a little scared of this pic below!!!
Pliers in a child's mouth...OUCH!

Of course I had to buy one old photo too!
I'll be sure to scan it soon to share with you ~

I hope you've enjoyed my tiny pile of goodies...
It's so funny what thrills me.
Simple, timeworn treasures that may be cast-offs to others
but are oh-so beautiful to me!!!

Wishing you a wonderful Tuesday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn
